Attraction Description:
Banteay Samre is located away from the main bulk of temples and therefore takes a while to reach, although the trip there is very scenic and passes through several villages.
Even though it`s fairly remote Banteay Samre still attracts many visitors who in the main travel even further to more remote temples.
The temple it`s self is in good condition and still has many statues and fine carvings in and around it`s pleasant grounds.
Attraction Review:
The trip out to Banteay Samre was very nice as we passed through some real Cambodian villages.
We originally planned to visit Bantaey Samre before heading out to even more remote temples, but our Tuk-Tuk driver wanted too much money because of the distance involved but agreed to take us to Bantaey Samre for the same fare, so for us Banteay Samre was the most remote temple we visited.
The temple it`s self was pleasant and the grounds were well looked after but we did not expect the quantity of tourists that we experienced.
Banteay Samre was a nice temple to visit, but should not be put on the hit list if on a tight schedule unless other temples in the area are not to be visited.
